Trey Parker and Matt Stone continue their full frontal assault on President Donald Trump and his policies on South Park Season 27, Episode 4, titled Wok is Dead.
The episode specifically takes on Trump’s global tariff policies framed within the Labubu craze, where collectors can purchase the imported keychain-size dolls in blind boxes.

The episode begins in the halls of South Park Elementary, where a pair of students begin by comparing their Labubu dolls. Before too long, a jealousy-filled full-scale brawl breaks out, and the students end up in Mr. Mackay’s old counseling office, which is now occupied by the school’s new counselor, Jesus.
Butters then inadvertently becomes involved in the Labubu craze when his crush, Red, invites him to her birthday party. When she walks away with some Laububus hooked up to her backpack, he goes on a mission to buy her one of the dolls for her birthday.
As such, Butters goes to the City Wok restaurant — which has now become the City Asian Pop-Up Store — that sells Labubus. When Butters asks City Wok’s owner Tuong Lu Kim what happened to the restaurant, he points to a sign on the wall that reads, “Wok is dead” (a sly reference to the slogan “Woke is dead” from Season 27, Episode 1).
Unfortunately, since Red wants the rarest of the Labubus, he is forced into a big dilemma since he may need to buy several mystery boxes containing the doll, which, thanks to tariffs, cost $85 each (and the price is going up).
When Butters asks why the price is so high, Tuong explains in an expletive-filled manner how the costs of the government’s tariffs are being passed on to American consumers.
‘South Park’ Also Lampoons Fox News In ‘Wok Is Dead’
The South Park Season 27 episode Wok is Dead continues to go after President Donald Trump in a brutal manner. The skewering begins with Trump’s return from an overseas tariff summit, where he is greeted by Fox News reporters after walking down the steps of Air Force One, followed by Satan.
From there, a Fox News White House reporter, who appears to be Peter Doocy, bluntly asks Trump, “Mr. President, we’re all dying to know something. Your wife, Melania, has been staying in New York and away from the White House. Well, what Fox News really wants to know is, are you f—— Satan?”
Trump denies the inquiry and Satan chimes in, “We’re just sort of hanging out.”
The rest of the episode goes back and forth between the Labubu craze — and the violent madness that ensues between collectors — and Fox News “Breaking News” reports of Trump being spotted with Satan and the question of whether he is (blanking) Satan.”
Later in the episode, the Fantasy Island Tattoo-like version of Vice President JD Vance appears once again, this time to console a dejected Satan, who is sitting outside of the White House. Satan says he wants to leave Trump but is being forced to stay with him because of “the dark tides of destiny” — the secret of which is contained in a mystery box.
Meanwhile, the Labubu madness escalates to new heights as it’s revealed that the dolls are being used for Satanic rituals. When Satan appears at a Labubu party ritual in South Park, Jesus rushes to the scene for a biblical showdown.
At that point, Satan confirms his and Trump’s relationship and the contents of the mystery box, which is a pregnancy test stick to confirm he’s pregnant — which is reported on by Fox News.
Whether the Trump-Satan saga will continue on for the duration of Season 27 of South Park is yet to be seen, but viewers will have six more episodes to find out.
The next episode of South Park Season 27 — Episode 5 will air on Wednesday, Sept. 17, and begin streaming on Paramount+ on Thursday, Sept. 18.
