Apple’s biggest event of 2025 has taken place. The Sept. 9 keynote saw the unveiling of four iPhones, three Apple Watches and a new set of AirPods Pro — but it wasn’t the end of the story. Here’s the full schedule of what’s happening when.

There’s lots more to come before the products go on sale on Friday, Sept. 19, including pre-orders, which open soon. But there’s a way to be ready for pre-orders opening.
Pre-Orders Open Friday, Sept. 12
The next event in the iPhone 17 calendar is Friday, Sept. 12, when pre-orders begin at 5 a.m. Pacific, 8 a.m. Eastern and 1 p.m. U.K. But there’s a way to get ahead of the line, and avoid missing out on the exact model and color you’re after, without having to commit yourself in advance.
Go to apple.com and you’ll see the front page of the site shows the new models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max as well as confirming the pre-order date and time. Scroll to the model you want and click on “View pricing,” where you’ll be taken to a page encouraging you to “Get ready.”
“Choose your new iPhone today, then speed through checkout when pre‑order starts at 5:00 a.m. PDT on 9.12,” it says.
You can then choose the color, storage capacity, whether you have a phone to trade in, pick a payment option and so on. Then, click “Get ready for pre-order,” and you can choose a payment method. It then reminds you that you can place your order on Friday.
iOS 26 General Release On Monday, Sept. 16
This is the date I and others have been predicting for the release of the new iPhone software, which works with phones from iPhone 11 onwards. It’s now been confirmed by Apple and release is expected for 10 a.m. Pacific.
First Reviews On Tuesday, Sept. 17 Or Wednesday, Sept. 18
If Apple sticks to last year’s schedule, the review for the iPhone 17 series (all four of them) will go live at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, but the day before is also an option.
Release Date Friday Sept. 19 At 7 a.m.
The onsale date has also been confirmed by Apple and it’s routinely at 7 a.m. local time.
