Microsoft has revealed in a new blog post that its AI-powered Copilot digital assistant has now rolled out to select Samsung TVs and monitors.

As users of Copilot on portable and devices and PCs would expect, the arrival of Copilot on many of Samsung’s 2025 TVs and smart monitors is intended to make it easier for users to both quickly find content they’re searching for and discover new content they might like with the help of Copilot’s sophisticated voice-powered interface.

Copilot’s content finding system on Samsung TVs can seek out relevant shows and films based on even quite obscure and complex spoken search terms (Microsoft gives as an example “Like The Queen’s Gambit, but with cooking instead of chess, and under two hours”), or else you can connect your TV’s Copilot system with your Microsoft account so that it has access to your personal preferences and “memory bank” of previously viewed content.

Microsoft states that it expects, too, that having Copilot on a relatively social, group-usage device such as a TV will lead to it “turning the TV into a shared space for curiosity and connection,” where viewers will be able to do things like access spoiler-free recaps of series they’re watching together, find group-friendly content picks that can be based on the stated preferences of multiple viewers, and get into post-watch deep dives with questions such as ‘Who was the voice actor for that character?” or “What else has the director done?”.

Copilot on Samsung TVs and monitors can also just be used, of course, as a straightforward information or entertainment tool for the family, answering questions such as “Will Saturday in Seattle be good conditions for hiking?”, or “Find something that will cheer me up.”

The Copilot interface on Samsung’s compatible screens will follow the system’s usual simple visual cards and animations styling, making it instantly familiar to existing Copilot users and easy for newcomers to learn their way round.

Microsoft states that Copilot should be available now in select markets – including the U.S. – on a wide range of 2025 Samsung TVs. These include the brands new Micro RGB models, Neo QLED range, latest OLED models, and the designer The Frame Pro and The Frame series. It should also now be available in select territories on Samsung’s M7, M8 and M9 Smart Monitors, with Microsoft adding that it expects Copilot to be rolled out to some older Samsung TV and Smart Monitor models in the future.

Owners of compatible Samsung TVs and smart monitors in the relevant territories should now be able to find Copilot in the Apps Tab of the Samsung Daily+ home screen. If you do indeed see the app there, all you need to do to use it is press the mic button on your smart remote and say what you want to say, as naturally as you want to say it.

The only extra step comes if you want to unlock Copilot’s personalization features – though this is no more complicated than using your phone to capture a QR code the TV generates if you tell it you want to set up personalized features.

If you think you should be seeing the Copilot app on your Samsung TV or monitor and it isn’t there, try manually triggering an over the air software update to see if that does the trick.

Copilot’s debut on Samsung TVs and Smart Monitors is the latest result of a long history of cooperation between Microsoft and the South Korean TV brand that’s also led to the appearance of Windows and Office on Galaxy devices, and the Xbox Cloud Gaming service being a core part of Samsung TVs’ Gaming Hub interface.

“Copilot on Samsung TVs and monitors brings AI out of your pocket and into the heart of your home,” says David Washington, Partner General Manager, Microsoft AI. “It’s there when you and your family want to discover something to watch together, get answers to your questions, plan your weekend, or simply hang out.”
