Yachting and sustainability were once strange bedfellows, but these days, designers, yachtbuilders, and yacht owners are very interested in ways to dovetail this luxury industry with ecologically sound solutions that minimize yachting footprints. The Blue Wake™ program will showcase sustainability in a big way at one of the world’s most prestigious yachting platforms.
Throughout the Monaco Yacht Show taking place September 24-27, 2025, the Blue Wake™ initiative will highlight shipyards, tenders, water toy manufacturers, yachting equipment manufacturers, and service providers for their practical and environmentally sustainable innovations by the Water Revolution Foundation.
The program, sponsored by the Water Revolution Foundation and Siemens Energy, will feature more than 50 exhibitors that have navigated rigorous criteria and are recognized for their credible and effective solutions. A list of the exhibitors participating in the initiative can be found on the Monaco Yacht Show Blue Wake™ web page.

Measuring Progress Targeting The Net Zero Goal
The ambitious plans of the Water Revolution Foundation show solid progress on this graphic toward their Roadmap to 2050 net zero goals.
Water Revolution Foundation
At its third meeting of strategic business leaders this past June, the organization published its Roadmap to 2050, aiming to reach net zero by that date. The report, published in five-year increments, engages yachting stakeholders in the way they approach the life cycle of yachts through design, build, operation and refit.
This year’s meeting achieved the significant milestone of moving from awareness to implementation, acting to embed regenerative principles across all stages of the yachting lifecycle. In the Three-Year Plan, published on August 27, 2025, the Water Revolution Foundation notes ambitious goals for the period, including a shipyard scoring system designed to rate benchmarks in the yachtbuilding process, establishing a network of methanol fueling stations in appropriate locations, an expanded YETI to include build materials aiming at a full life cycle assessment, and and a knowledge and resource hub to be used for open source sharing, awareness, and education.
